§ 13.12.020. Required—Specifications.

  • Each utility company maintaining underground works in, along, under or across any street, alley or other public place in the city is required to file with the city engineer within 90 days from the date of the adoption of Ordinance 1337, maps prepared in ink on tracing cloth, or blue or brown line prints, on good grade paper of a quality approved by the city engineer, in sheets not larger than 24 inches by 36 inches. If such sheets are smaller than 24 inches by 36 inches they shall be some aliquot part of a sheet of that size and shall have at least 1 24-inch edge. The scale of such maps shall be 100 feet to 1 inch and they shall show by delineation, letters and figures:

    A.

    The exact route and location of the works of the utility company filing the same, with reference to street and curb lines;

    B.

    The depth of such works below the surface of the ground;

    C.

    The dimensions of the constituent parts of such works and the material of which constructed;

    D.

    All manholes, valves, gates and other special construction features, and the position and dimensions of each;

    E.

    The purpose for which such works and each portion thereof are maintained, including a statement of maximum voltage carried in case of electrical works;

    F.

    The date of the construction, installation or laying of such works. If the exact date is unknown, the approximate date shall be stated.
