Chapter 2.365. CLAIMS BY AND AGAINST THE CITY |
§ 2.365.030. Issuance and validation of warrants.
A.
The director of finance shall be authorized to issue the check or warrant of the city for the amount of the demand; provided, however, that such warrant shall not be valid until signed by the city treasurer.
B.
Upon authorization by the city attorney, the director of finance shall be authorized to issue the warrant or check of the city for the amount authorized as settlement/compromise of claims for damages against the city in civil actions and proceedings. Authorization by the city council is necessary where a settlement/compromise exceeds the authority granted to the city attorney. Such warrant or check shall not be valid until signed by the city treasurer.
