§ 4.04.060. Sale of other than salvage property or scrap.

The city manager is authorized for and on behalf of the city to sell the personal property of the city not otherwise herein specifically mentioned for not less than the fair market value thereof where the total amount of the sale does not exceed $500.00 and where the sale of the property is expedient or necessary for the promotion and protection of the health, comfort, safety, life and welfare of the inhabitants of the city or for the preservation of the peace and good order.
