§ 2.266.020. Department functions.

  • The department shall:

    A.

    Administer programs for the control and prevention of disease, promotion of maternal and child health, and promotion of public health;

    B.

    Administer and enforce all laws, ordinances or regulations dealing with public health and sanitation;

    C.

    Administer and enforce all laws, ordinances or regulations as they relate to public health, in cooperation with other enforcement agencies;

    D.

    Maintain vital records of births and deaths in the city;

    E.

    Cooperate with public and private agencies dealing with the health needs of residents of the city;

    F.

    Perform such other related duties as shall be required by law, ordinance or the city manager.
