§ 14.20.020. Purpose.

The purpose of the board is to coordinate the cross-connection control program of the building division, public health department and water division of the city. The board shall adopt such policies and procedures as are necessary to obtain reasonable and effective administration of regulations relating to cross-connections, backflow and backsiphonage as set forth in this code, the health and sanitation code, and the water rate ordinance of the city, and "Regulations Relating to Cross Connections" of the state of California, Department of Public Health.
