§ 14.04.030. Violations.

  • All sections in the 2016 codes referenced in Section 14.04.010 herein pertaining to violations are amended in their entirety to read as follows:

    It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure in the city, or cause same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance is committed, continued, or permitted, and upon conviction of any such violation such persons shall be punished by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or double the permit fee whichever is greater or by imprisonment for not more than one (1) year, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Violations of this section as they relate to use and/or occupancy are subject to the enforcement provisions of Chapter 8.88.

    In addition to the above penalty provisions, violation of any of the provisions of this chapter may be subject to the administrative proceedings set forth in Chapter 1.25 of this code.

Ordinance No. 7302, adopting a section of the Pasadena Municipal Code, was a subject of a successful referendum process. The City Council has yet to act on repealing the ordinance or submitting the ordinance in full to a vote of the people.
