§ 12.15.030. Decorative banners—Temporary display.

  • The city manager is authorized and directed to issue to such persons who or which are in charge of the production of a festival, spectacle or other similar event in the city of a general civic and public nature, and who or which file a written application therefor, a temporary permit to erect, construct and maintain upon the public sidewalks, streets and other public places of the city, in such manner as the city manager shall determine, such decorative flags, emblems, banners, bunting, shrubbery and other similar devices as will not interfere with traffic or the safety of persons or property, and such as are in conjunction with and pertain to such festival, spectacle or other similar civic event. Such temporary permit shall designate thereon the dates during which such decorative devices may be so erected, constructed and maintained; and such period of time shall be for not more than 5 days after the period during which such festival, spectacle or other civic event is produced in the city.
